Asking For Trouble is a range of handmade accessories and gifts inspired by Japan. The current collection includes fabric purses, tote bags, felt flower brooches, vintage ribbon keyrings, washi covered notebooks and customised bags and purses, all of which mix up modern and cute patterns with vintage materials and traditional designs. Everything is made with care and love with hand stitched detailing and materials sourced from around the world.

About Me

My name is Marceline Smith and I’m an artist and designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. I have a degree in Printmaking from Grays School of Art in Aberdeen and have been making things all my life, from collages and prints to experimenting with fabric and felt. My work has been displayed in The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, The Park Gallery in Falkirk and other galleries in the UK.
